Hello, I'm Shaquora R' Bey—artist, dollmaker, teaching artist, cultural craft facilitator, storyteller, and the creative force behind Diary of a Dollmaker.
For over 30 years, I have created handcrafted ArtDolls, soft sculptures, keepsake journals, and mixed-media artwork that honor the culture, history, resilience, and beauty of people of African descent. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to tell a story, preserve heritage, inspire healing, and encourage meaningful connection through cultural storytelling.
My work has been showcased in galleries, museums, and educational institutions, as well as featured in television and film, including FX's Kindred and Netflix's Survival of the Thickest.
